14,500 new Charging Stations were built in the U.S. in just Six Years.

Electric cars sales are soaring. And now this small Kentucky city can charge them.

Midway, a town of about 1,500, is now home to an electric vehicle charging station. The town celebrated the Kentucky Utilities charging station with a ceremony Thursday morning. The popularity of electric vehicles, such as the Kia Soul EV or Tesla vehicles, have skyrocketed in recent years.

Between 2011 and 2017, people wondered if electric cars sales would take off and how electric cars would charge up because there were not a lot of electric car charging stations.
