14,500 new Charging Stations were built in the U.S. in just Six Years.

Electric cars sales are soaring. And now this small Kentucky city can charge them.

Midway, a town of about 1,500, is now home to an electric vehicle charging station. The town celebrated the Kentucky Utilities charging station with a ceremony Thursday morning. The popularity of electric vehicles, such as the Kia Soul EV or Tesla vehicles, have skyrocketed in recent years.
Me, "Its amazing how far electric cars and electric charging stations have come. Between 2011 and 2017, people wondered if electric cars sales would take off and how electric cars would charge up because there were not a lot of electric car charging stations. With 540,000 electric cars on the U.S. road so far and 16,500 electric charging stations with 45,225 charging outlets. Things are looking up for electric cars."
From article, (Sales of battery electric vehicles and plug-in hybrids was more than 287,000 worldwide during the third quarter of 2017, according to Bloomberg News. That's a huge jump from the less than 100,000 cars that were sold in the first quarter of 2015. Electric vehicle charging stations have followed suit with about 16,500 in the United States alone, according to the Department of Energy. That is a dramatic increase from the 2,000 in 2011.)
